State Requirements Questions

What are the Continuing Education requirements?

Arkansas

Real estate appraisers are required to take 28 hours of CE every two years before the licensee’s expiration month of the even numbered years. Up to 21 hours of CE can be completed online. However, the 7 hour USPAP Update course cannot be taken online.

Iowa

Real estate appraisers are required to take 28 hours of CE every two years before June 30th of the year in which the appraiser’s certificate expires. Up to 14 hours of CE can be completed online.

Kansas

Real estate appraisers are required to take 28 hours of CE every two years before June 30th of the odd numbered years. Up to 14 hours of CE can be completed online.

Missouri

Real Estate appraisers are required to take 28 hours of CE every two years before June 30th of the even numbered years. All 28 hours of CE can be completed online.

Oklahoma

Real estate appraisers are required to take 42 hours of CE every three years before the appraiser’s certificate expires. Up to 21 hours of CE can be completed online. The 7 hour USPAP Update course can be taken online as part of the 21 hours.

Nebraska

Real estate appraisers are required to take 28 hours of CE every two years before December 31st of the year in which the appraiser’s certificate expires. Up to 14 hours of CE can be completed online. However, the 7 hour USPAP Update course cannot be taken online.

Are there any specific courses required?

Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri

A real estate appraiser is required to take one 7-hour USPAP update course as part of their 28 hours of CE. The 7-hour USPAP Update can be taken online.

Arkansas and Nebraska

A real estate appraiser is required to take one 7-hour USPAP update course as part of their 28 hours of CE. The 7-hour USPAP Update can be taken online. However, Nebraska students are not permitted to take the USPAP Update online.

Oklahoma

Every real estate appraisal license holder is required to take 14 hours of continuing education (CE) every year. On odd number years (ex. 2007) the 7 hour USPAP Update course is required and included as part of the 14 hours of CE. In a three year period, 21 hours (or 50%) of CE hours can be completed online.

Are the courses approved for credit?

Yes, all of our courses are approved for credit.

What is the cost of the course(s) and what methods of payment are accepted?

The cost of each course is located in the course catalog. You may pay using all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express).

What is your refund policy?

Bobbitt and Company, Inc. students who purchase an online class may cancel within 7 calendar days after the date of enrollment and if the course has not been completed. To request a refund, contact our online training partner Hondros Learning at support@fastclass.com or 1-866-455-3278 Monday through Friday 9:00am - 7:00pm ET, Saturday 10:00am - 3:00pm ET, Closed Sunday.

How do I get a username and password? What do I use it for? What should I do if I forget it?

During the registration process, you select your own username and password. It should be something that you can easily remember. You will use the same username and password each time you log in to access your course(s). This information is entered in the returning students section on the home page of the website. If you forget your username and password, you can either email support@fastclass.com or call 1-866-455-3278.

Can I take the course from various locations and computers?

Our courses are set up for students to access their courses from any computer that is compatible.

How does a course work?

You take the course at your own pace and on your own time. You can take the course in small increments or all at once. If you exit out of the course, then log back in at a later time, you start back in the lesson that you had been taking.

How long will it take me to complete a course?

Each course has been approved for a specific number of hours. Depending on the pace you review the course, it may take you less or more time to complete the course.

How long do I have access to the course?

You have access to the course for up to six months from purchase (no extensions permitted).

Can I use the course for review when I'm done?

Yes. You can simply log into your account to access the course.

Can I print any of the course material for future reference?

No. The course is entirely online, so you are unable to print any course materials.

Course Completion Questions

What is required to complete the course?

You need to review all of the course content.

How do I receive my course completion certificate?

At the end of the course, you are able to print a copy of your completion certificate. Remember to print a copy for your records.

How do my hours get submitted for CE credit?

Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri

Bobbitt and Company, Inc. is not required to submit a CE roster to the state. Therefore, the student must keep a copy of their completion certificates on file for auditing purposes.

Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska

Bobbitt and Company, Inc. is required to submit a CE roster to the state of Nebraska. Students must keep a copy of their completion certificates on file and submit a copy of the course completion certificates at renewal.
